Description
In these poems, Ms. Gibson explores the ever-changing moods of the sea from a sun-kissed balm to a quiet threat to seeing it as our gateway to a mystery much bigger than we are. She also explores the experiences of loss and grief with humor, sadness, and in "Not Shaped Like a Fist," with anger and resignation. Death makes a personal appearance in two poems, advising in "Close as a Twin," that "It's not personal," since he comes for everyone.
