소개
This volume contains the complete sheet music for Charles V. Stanford's "Piano Trio, Op. 158", a 1918 composition dedicated to the memory of his colleague's two sons who were killed in the Great War. Subtitled 'Per astra ad aspera' ('To the stars through struggle'), it is characterized by dramatic gestures, which are especially prevalent in the first and final movements. Sir Charles Villiers Stanford (1852 - 1924) was an Irish composer, conductor, and teacher of music.
