The early loss of a child is always accompanied by grief. To help mothers come to terms with their grief, nursing staff should support them in creating memories of their child and, above all, ensure that their care is as considerate as possible through sensitive, empathetic care and communication, as well as by providing sufficient information, whilst taking into account the wishes and needs of the bereaved mothers.
