Significance of the Study This research study provides up-to-date information documenting the attitudes and beliefs of teachers regarding the value of computer-based technology within a specific rural school district in the State of Maine. This study verified statistically significant factors that help facilitate the successful diffusion of technology into classroom instruction within their school district. In addition, the study identified many barriers that impeded the diffusion process.
